Sunscreen -CVS -Clear Zinc Sun Lotion SPF 50

on 8/14/2018 11:03:00 AM

I bought it for my daughter who burns no matter what sunscreen we use. It 100% worked. I applied it generously and as directed and walked away from a full day at the beach with a very happy kid who didn’t have to deal with sun burn rituals and days of peeling.

Gels/Soaps -CVS -Tranquil Moisturizing Body Wash

on 7/6/2018 3:22:00 PM

I'm not a body wash snob. I look for something with a scent that I like, is cheap, comes in a large bottle and is convenient to pick up when I remember I need some.

This stuff fits the bill. This is a typical blue-water kind of scent, lathers well, comes in a 12 oz bottle with a nice flip cap, and is only a couple of bucks at CVS. I have no sensitivities to fragrance, my skin is not reactive and not particularly dry. This works great!

I've tried the yellow Energize version too, and liked that scent a bit better than this one. I will pick these up again when needed - love the price!

Misc Beauty Tools -CVS -Beauty 360 Premium Cotton Rounds

on 6/26/2018 11:11:00 AM

Fairly priced, easy to find Cotton rounds from CVS. You only get 80 in a pack - some brands is 100 or 120 so check your prices. This one does not shed too badly but I use them mostly to apply toner and facial products and not to remove nail lacquer (too much fraying for that).

For nail lacquer remover I prefer gauze 2 by 2 squares - no lint, no fraying, no shedding.

But for a quick swipe of toner? These are fine - and not too "scratchy".

Cleansers -CVS -Skin + Pharmacy Advanced Anti-Aging Therapy Hydrating Cleanser

on 10/1/2017 9:20:00 PM

I've been using this cleanser for over a year now. I only give it four stars because it can be drying (but not drying compared to other cleansers that remove makeup). This is the least drying cleanser that I've used in which a double cleanse is sufficient in removing all face and eye makeup. I don't like makeup removing wipes because I have sensitive skin and the rubbing aggravates it. Anyways, this cleanser keeps my skin clear!! It is the only cleanser that doesn't break me out or intensify my acne (besides cerave foaming cleanser but that cleanser is extremely drying!!) ... I occasionally get hormonal breakouts along my jawline from my pcos but those aren't nearly as bad anymore. I love how it doesn't irritate my eyes either. This cleanser comes out as a cream, and works best when you add water to it to create a nice foam. I'll continue to use this until I find something better. I have to moisturize every night after using this, but using a moisturizer nightly should be a routine anyways!

Eye Makeup Remover -CVS -Oil-Free Eye Make-Up Remover Pads - Almay Knock-Off

on 8/7/2017 9:41:00 PM

These are no better than the Almay ones they're a knock-off of. They burn if you get them in your eyes and you really have to scrub to get all the makeup off. Even then, I used to wake up to subtle raccoon eyes every morning while using these. Not worth the money.
