Sunscreen -Bioré -UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen SPF50+ PA+++

on 11/14/2018 4:19:00 PM

I picked up some of this at an Asian beauty store because it was highly rated and I wasn't disappointed!
This has made a notable improvement in the hydration of my skin and it's a product that makes it easy to wear sunscreen every day. It absorbs quickly and doesn't affect my makeup. I love that it's not thick or greasy and it's invisible once absorbed into the skin.
This has become a staple for me.

Toners -Bioré -Witch Hazel Toner Facial Treatment

Used this just twice, gave up... and then found another use for it - on back and shoulders, but more about that in a second. It's simply too drying and harsh for most face skin types and left mine feeling tight. In addition to what glitterdoom has written which is spot-on, I don't see how it can reduce surface shine as Biore claim, because by stripping the skin of its natural sebum it will only encourage it to produce more to replace what was removed.

However this is working well for any post-waxing acne that appears on back and shoulders (even chest) in much the same way that Tend Skin does (i.e alcohol and salicylic acid combo) and so will use for that purpose only. If you're looking for a salicylic acid toner for the face, Paula's Choice has a good one and if on a budget The Ordinary's 2% is quite good too. This one however I would approach only with caution.

Cleansers -Bioré -Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser

Let me start off by saying I have been following (sometimes loosely) the method for about 5 years or so now, with good results. However, I am pregnant at the moment and my skin is just not responding the same way. I decided to give this cleanser a shot on a whim because I read that charcoal products were safe to use during pregnancy and I have been very happy with it. I am more than halfway through the bottle and it has not irritated my skin at all, and it definitely leaves me feeling clean. It even removes makeup(I double cleanse for this)

It does have a fairly strong scent, but I find it kind of pleasant.

Sunscreen -Bioré -UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50+ PA++++ (New 2014)

Japanese sunscreens always are the best. I’ve been using this brand for years and tried many of the formulas. One of the best and worth buying. It’s non irritating and good for my very oily skin, and it also helps with a light primer before makeup so you don’t have to put another layer of primer. Best for a very bright hot sunny day.
