Liquid -Bare Escentuals -bareMinerals BarePro Liquid Foundation

on 3/16/2018 1:42:00 PM

This stuff broke me out in the WORST acne I’ve ever had in my adult life. I’m currently going for chemical peels that cost $120. This $30 foundation will end up costing you more in the long run. The only good thing about this was the color match was the best I’ve ever had. But not worth the acne.

Loose Powders -Bare Escentuals -BareMinerals Illuminating Mineral Veil

on 3/16/2018 12:23:00 AM

I have been using bareminerals translucent mineral veil for years as I'm very fair skinned and have only ever been able to use a translucent finishing powder. When I have tried any shade they have either been to dark/orangey or too white and talc like.
I recently ordered the brightening pearl natural light mineral veil in error and I have to say it's the best mistake I've ever made. It looks dark, almost like a light terracotta. I thought I'd give it a go and maybe use it as a light bronzer. I ended up using it very lightly all over my face as a setting powder and it barely has any colour, just a very soft pearly effect which gives my face a little much needed warmth but barely any colour. It is a little shimmery but no more so than my usual illuminating translucent mineral veil. If you are too heavy handed it will look sparkly but a light dusting just gives a very subtle and soft shimmer. I use a little extra on my brow bones as it also makes a very good highlighter. I will definitely be purchasing again but as you need to use such a small amount the 6.5g pot will last me a long time.

Blush -Bare Escentuals -Bare Minerals Gen Nude Powder Blush

on 3/14/2018 7:56:00 AM

The Bare Minerals Gen Nude Powder Blush is a highly pigmented and finely milled pressed powder blush that provides a beautiful rosy glow and has a nice wide variety of shades. This blush has no shine or glitter in it and gives a very matte finish. I had difficultly finding a blush like this at stores because so many of them are either very bold colors or they have a highlight or glittery finish. This powder applies easily, builds easily, and lasts all day long over foundation or without foundation. My more detailed review can be seen here:

Lipstick -Bare Escentuals -Gen Nude Liquid Lip Color in Slay

on 3/8/2018 5:13:00 PM

I have quite a few of these Gen Nude Matte Liquid lipsticks and Slay is one of my favorites! Never in a million years did I think I could pull off a slightly pastel mauve lipcolor but this shade works well on me and I'm super picky about pale lipcolors. Staying power is fine, comparative to the other shades and of course the scent is fantastic.

Overall, this is one of the good ones in this line of liquid lipsticks. Sometimes I like to deepen the shade a bit by applying it over a plummy lipliner like Bare Mineral's Gen Nude Under Over Lip liner in Vibe. LOVE!!!!

Palettes -Bare Escentuals -bareMinerals: The Bare Sensuals READY palette

on 3/8/2018 4:52:00 PM

There's a reason I keep buying these palettes that Bare Minerals keeps churning out, there must be!!!! I just need to find out what it is!!!! LOL! They always look so beautiful online and even when I swatch them in the store I fall in love....then....I get them home and try to use them for different looks for a few days and inevitably I'm dissapointed. Sigh. I have to agree with the review down below from ziggymamma, every single time I use this, no matter how many different shades I try, my looks end up looking the same or similar.

In a way that can be a good thing, it's why I love Clinique eyeshadow palettes. This palette is easy to use, the colors are easy to blend, easy to wear and easy for everyone to get some kind of good eye look. Unfortunately, while the colors look saturated in the pans and even in swatches, they're very sheer when applied on the lid. Some shades don't look different enough on the lids and you can't tell one from the other. Don't expect any wow factor from this like I did when I saw the purple and plum and berry shades. I was expecting much more drama and got hum drum instead.

Overall while I'm not thrilled with this palette I feel like I will use it more often than some of my other Bare Minerals palettes. It's not a bad palette, it just isn't great either. If you want a pretty easy peasy breezy purple toned palette then this one is for you! Like!
