Styling Products -Back to Basics -Volumizing Root Boost

on 2/14/2018 10:49:00 PM

when I had long hair, I really didnt find this stuff was any good. apparently my long hair was too heavy to lift up the roots. Now that my hair is short, I quite like this mousse! It has a strong smell, and that fragrance stays around for a long time, so make sure you like it! it seems like a synthetic apple fragrance.

Shampoo -Back to Basics -Milk Shampoo

I'm actually surprised no one has reviewed this before. It's pretty awesome. My hair is very fine, but there's quite a lot of it, and it has to be washed daily because of my job. I love this because it's super gentle. It never stripped my hair of moisture, or made it feel weighed down. I have found my hair responds well to protein treatments and this shampoo is chock full of it. I took away one lippie for the scent. It's the very last ingredient on the list, so it's pretty much non-existent. I like a strongly scented shampoo. But if you prefer your shampoo to be scentless, this is a good choice. I wish this wasn't discontinued, but I found it for a decent price on eBay. Go try it!

Hair -Back to Basics -Sunflower Shampoo

I really liked this shampoo. At one point when I was using it, I felt like my hair was in the best shape it's ever in. It was a combo of this and Big Sexy Hair's Detangler. But then once I stopped using the BSH, my hair didn't look quite as good. Near the end of the bottle, my ends were starting to feel even a bit fried. But I attribute this to bad conditioners/detanglers, not to the shampoo. I've moved on now to St Ives Sunflower & Vitamin E Shampoo and Neutrogena Clean Replenishing Conditioner, and my hair is nice and soft again. But if I happen to come across another bottle of this Back to Basics shampoo, I would definitely snatch it up again.

Styling Products -Back to Basics -Green Tea Thickening Serum

on 2/17/2015 8:51:00 AM

I've searched and bought product after product to plump my fine hair and to be completely honest, I have found nothing that comes close. Nothing. I've been paying up to $40 for the leftovers online, but now, there are only 2 sellers that I can find and when I order it, it arrives watery and pee yellow. Not sure if water has been added or if has just lost its mojo. I so miss this product.

Shampoo -Back to Basics -Vanilla Plum Fortifying Shampoo

For me, it's an OK product. I LOVE the scent, wich is great, but that's about that. Do not get mistaken, I don't hate it, it's just... nothing special. My hair don't feel overly clean or soft or bouncy... they just feel.. normal, if that can makes any sense. I'll not repurchase!
