For the price, you can do much better. This provides light moisturisation but very minimal protective properties. The open jar packaging I feel is ruining the potency of the natural ingredients. Yes its natural but for the price you want it to do something. I feel that Osmotics, Neostrata and pure vitamin C is far more effective an antioxidant since I can see a difference in my skin, its just better. This is good for oily types since its very light but for the price, I recommend you explore other antioxidant formulas out there since everything else I have tried produces results, with this, I'm not even sure it did anything other than maintain status quo.

I received a good sized sample of Astara Golden Flame Hydration Mask in my Goodebox and thought I'd give it a try last night. I decided I was going to do the overnight version and hopefully wake up to glorious skin, BUT I couldn't keep this on my face for more than 30 seconds due to my eyes burning like crazy. I guess other posters are calling it 'vapors' but I can't put something on my face that makes my eyes burn, no matter what the wonderful outcome might be. I was afraid I would wake up with swollen eyes, but I guess I got it off in time. Not for me!!!

This is basically a product that claims great things but didn't do much for me except dry out some areas on my face. I should have read the ingredients better before purchasing it - the main ingredients are witch hazel and alcohol.I may give it another try, and I'll report back if I see it making an improvement in my skin. If you do try it, work with it FAST, as due to the witch hazel and alcohol, it dries super fast.Ingredients:Alcohol Denat., Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Glycerin, Salicylic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Fomes Officinalis (Mushroom) Extract, Resorcinol, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Polysorbate 80, Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein, Panthenol (D), Pyridoxine HCl, Allantoin , Niacinamide, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Biotin (Vitamin B Complex), Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Totarol, Sodium Chloride.UPDATE - OCT. 9, 2014 - I'd like to take a star away from this product. I did try it again, and each time I used it, my skin would be left drier and drier than before. I would get scaly patches that were not easy to flake or or rub off gently with a wam washcloth. This product is not longer in my basket of goodies because... well... it isn't good!

I'm surprised that this renewal moisturizer received so little spotlight as the last review was 6 years ago! I ordered this cream along with the antioxidant infusion from Astara and I adore both of them! While the infusion is light and refresh, the renewal intense moisturizer comes in heavier texture for hydration but not greasy at all. I'm in Southern California and I feel this cream can be a good year round product, even I'm a normal sometimes oily skin. I like the infusion for its refresh and soothing texture, but when it comes to hydration it's simply not enough. With the renewal cream as the last step of my nightly ritual I feel my face is well moisturized and renewed. The scent is also very herbal and soothing. Highly recommend Astara products!

This mask is a skin saver! it cleared my occasional blemishes and cut down the oil on my face. I lucked up and bought it for a dollar at a discount cosmetics store but after i ran out and found the regular price I wasn't so quick to buy. Hopefully i'll be able to buy this again.
